The R1 is my first bat from Chase, and still knocking in so not used in anger, but already clear the sweet spot is very powerful. The overall quality and finish is clear, , makes a lovely sound, it is reasonably light and the pickup is crisp, good value for the price. It would have been nice to have the knock- in and scuff sheet that are offered on the more expensive bats: i know it is cheaper so understandable perhaps, but wouldn't be a lot extra cost for Chase to add to keep customers hooked-in and saving up for the premium models! Overall though, seeing the bat propped in my room makes me want to pick it up, and can't wait to use it on the pitch. I'd love to try the premium Finback!
